Workshop Safety Signs

Safety signs

In CMM we are learning about safety signs and what they mean.
- Hazard means the area you are in is dangerous and must be aware whats going on around you.

3 main signs that are in the workshop

- Yellow triangle sign/Cautions  - means that its a hazard and you can be hurt
- Red prohibition sign/Prohibition - means that you can NOT do whats on the sign
- Blue circular sign/Mandatory  - mean you must do it because its helping you not to cause             harm for yourself or others

3 examples

1. slipping hazard you see this in the shop where its wet on the floor or something has been split.  - Yellow triangle sign/Caution 

2. put bags under the table so others so dont trip over you see this in a classroom so students dont trip over  - Blue circular sign/Mandatory

3. no smoking in this area. if you are smoking then it could catch on fire w this petrol. - Red prohibition sign

PPE - Personal Protection Equipment

What is PPE ? - PPE means Personal Protect Equipment, it is used to protect you when you are exposed to things that could do harm to you.
