For our group stone carving project, we have looked up ideas and have found one that we all like, it is two koru with a Maori stair case engraved into it.  To us this means a new life and we have two fern that could represent a mother and her baby a new beginning and new life growth, strength and peace

Today we started to sand down the stone and engraved the stone there were two types of sand paper one was yellow you used it for getting out the bigger dents and the white sand paper was use to smooth it off. When using the yellow sand paper you have to be careful to not to lose the shape while doing shaping your stone.
